James practiced law from 1950 until his retirement in 1988. He died in 2004.
Bill practiced with the firm from 1974 to 2003. He recent retired from his position as Area Director of Legal Aid Ontario for the County of Lennox & Addington. He remains active as a deputy judge of the Small Claims Court, sitting primarily in Napanee.
Bruce is a true local, being rooted in the community back several generations to the United Empire Loyalists. Following the retirement of his partner, Bill Sirman, Bruce took over sole ownership and management of the office. Bruce’s areas of practice are real estate, corporate/business law, wills and estates and municipal law.
Bruce received his Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in 1985 and his law degree from Queen’s Law School in 1988 following a year of study at the University of Toronto Law School. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, and has been the treasurer of the Lennox & Addington County Law Association since 1992. When not practicing law Bruce’s passion is music- he plays with the talented Kim Pollard and has performed in venues as diverse as the National Arts Centre, Hard Rock Café in Memphis and the Lakeview Tavern in Erinsville.
